The LRSM Music Teaching Diploma program provides advanced training for experienced music educators seeking to refine their teaching abilities and become expert teachers. This online program facilitates the development of student-centered instruction, musical creativity, and reflective teaching practice.

The LRSM Diploma program consists of 3 units:
Unit 1A – Music Teaching in Practice
- Students will submit a 45-minute video showing their teaching over at least 10 weeks.
- The video will demonstrate adapting instruction for student progress over time.
- Detailed lesson plans, teaching diary, and self-evaluation will accompany the video.
Unit 1B – Music Teaching in Context
- Students will complete written tasks to exhibit understanding of professional behaviors, teaching adaptations, and evaluation skills.
Unit 2 – Reflective Practice & Professional Values
- Students will have a 40-minute discussion with an examiner about their teaching philosophy, skills, and insights.
