Suggested Teaching Activities:

  • Review the A Major scale, ensure play all notes in tune and with beautiful tone
  • Combine A Major scale with “Ta Ta Ta-a” rhythm
  • Can isolate & practice “Ta Ta Ta-a” rhythm several times first
    Standing Finger Technique:
  • Students should press their second finger against the A string (C#) while the teacher plucks the E string.
  • The teacher should ensure that the E string produces a clear sound.
  • Students should be reminded not to touch the E strings while playing the C# string.
  • Learn by ear first
  • Memorize the piece
